Ola Smith, 76, of Hazard, died Friday, Dec. 28 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was the daughter of the late Scott Gay and the late Fern Thompson Gay, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Smith, and brothers Doris, Scott, Jr., Mack, and Charles.
She is survived by her daughter Lucy Meader; sons Charles Houston Morgan, Jr., James Scott Morgan, and George Leslie Morgan; sisters Goldie Sizemore, Ima Jean Stamper, Lola Mae Turner, and Louise Deaton; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive frends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4. Service will immediately follow with Rev. Steve Haddix officiating. Interment will be at Smith-Stidham Cemetery in Gays Creek.
