Early last week, the Reds and the Padres did battle on the little league field. The game was close throughout with no more than a single run separating the teams at the end of any inning. That is, until the Reds exploded in the final frame to take the 15-9 win.

The Padres took the 3-2 lead in the first inning, and held on to the one-run margin in the second inning (6-5). The Reds tied the game in the third inning as they outdid the Padres 3-2 (8-all).

Neither team scored in the next two innings, sending the game to the final frame tied. The Reds won the battle of the sixth inning, outscoring the Padres 7-1, giving them the 15-9 win.

Padres (9) Colton Smith 1 hit and 1 run, Nick Combs 1 run, Andy Baker 3 runs, Jordan Combs 4 hits and 2 runs, Devin Fugate 1 hit, Matt Williams 1 run and Bryce Watts 1 run.
