Rodney Darnell Stamper, 34, of Hazard, died Saturday, November 1 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ernest Leon Gayhart and paternal grandparents, Robin and Vicie Stamper.

He is survived by his parents, Archie and Kathleen Stamper; maternal grandmother Bertha Gayhart; daughter Jessica Gabrielle Bentley Stamper; brothers Archie Stamper, Jr. and Brian Keith Stamper. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. The family received friends Tuesday, November 4 at the Upper Lost Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 5 at the Upper Lost Creek Baptist Church at 12 p.m. with Nathaniel Fugate, Donald Blair, Joe Asher and Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Bertha Gayhart Cemetery.
