A variety of plants will be on sale at the farmers market in Hazard, including tomatoes and flowers.
Handmade items were also on display during the market’s opening day on Wednesday.
The Perry County Farmers Market opened for business on Wednesday, with only a handful of sellers offering items from tomatoes and flowering plants, to rhubarb, black walnuts, and a variety of handmade crafts. The market will open every Wednesday and Saturday through Oct. 30 at picnic shelters four and five in the Perry County Park. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
