VIPER – Police in Perry County are on the lookout this week for two women who escaped from the custody of the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
Jail Administrator Tim Kilburn said Fallon Hall, 29, of Happy, and Karen Bailey, 32, were part of a female work detail at Lewis Cemetery on Maces Creek when they walked away on Monday.
Hall was being held on a circuit court indictment alleging first-degree drug trafficking and second-degree persistent felony offender. She was alleged to have possessed 18 methadone tablets with the intent to distribute on September 28, 2011, according to the indictment.
Bailey, of Viper, who is also known as Karen Caudill, according to jail officials, is facing charges of second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. According to the indictment returned in September 2011, she is alleged to have burglarized a residence and stole more than $10,000 in cash in June 2011.
Kilburn asked anyone with any information into their whereabouts to contact the Kentucky State Police at 606-435-6069 or the Perry County Sheriff’s Office at 606-439-4523.
Monday’s escape made the second this month. James Herald, 33, of Combs, walked away from a work detail at the Perry County Park on July 3, and has still not been found as of Monday afternoon.
