Early last week, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Jackson City Lady Tigers. The Lady Commodores grabbed the early lead and never looked back as they rolled to the 12-1 win.
The Lady Commodores got off to a fast start with five runs in the first inning. Perry Central added another run in the second frame (6-0), before going cold.
Jackson City got their lone run in the third inning (6-1), and from there on it was Perry Central. The Lady Commodores brought the game to an early end in the fifth inning as they plated six runs. The 12-1 tally was enough to end the game.
Whitney Back went the distance on the mound for the Lady Commodores. Back threw five innings, giving up one run on three hits. She struck out 10, with no walks.
