On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Owsley County Owls. The Commodores made short work of the Owls as they evoked the “continuous clock” to start the second half.

The Commodores’ offense got on track early, and they jumped out to an early lead. By the horn, Perry Central had worked a 24-11 lead.

Perry Central put together a big second period, and put the margin to well over 35. Going into the break, the Commodores had a 54-18 advantage.

The clock was in motion as the third period started, slowing the Commodores’ offense. Shortly into the period, Perry Central had gone deep into their bench. Going into the final period, they held a 73-25 lead.

The game ended quietly with Perry Central collecting the 86-35 win.

Perry Central (86) Braxton Beverly 5 (1 assist, 1 steal and 1 rebound), Matt Turner 4 (2 assists and 2 steals), Simeon Jones 1, Austin Pray 8 (3 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds), Travis Stacy 7 (1 assist, 1 steal and 2 rebounds), Jon-Eric Begley 2 (1 block and 2 rebounds), Jessie Roark 2 (1 steal and 2 rebounds), Justin Johnson 16 (3 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals and 8 rebounds), Trevor Fugate 3 (2 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound), Dalton Cornett 16 (2 assists, 1 block, 2 steals and 7 rebounds), Darryl Beatty 7 (4 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds), Tyler Fugate 4 (1 assist and 2 rebounds), Austin Neace 6 (1 assist and 4 steals), Nathan Pray (1 assist) and Seth Napier (1 rebound).
