Early last week, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Powell County Lady Pirates.

The Lady Commodores fell behind early, but rallied in the second half and then held off a Lady Pirates’ rally for the 67-65 win.

Perry Central got off to a slow start and struggled to find their range. Powell County was able to take a small lead early. Late in the second period, the Lady Commodores began to pick up the pace and got back into the game.

The Lady Commodores jumped ahead in the second half, and put together a small lead. However, Powell County was not through and made a run at Perry Central late in the fourth quarter. Perry Central was able to fend off the threat, and went on to the 67-65 win.

Perry Central stats: Whitney Back 11 (5 rebounds), Lyndci Combs 13 (3 rebounds), Perri Coots (1 rebound), Whitney Evans 9 (5 rebounds), Elizabeth Gayhart (1 rebound), Randi Carol napier 14 (4 rebounds), Pam Sebastian 5 (6 rebounds), Hannah Spurlock 15 and Mishayla Tackett (1 rebound).
