Celebrities coming to Hazard for a good cause
by Herald Staff

Several celebrities will be coming to Hazard next week as a part of an addiction prevention program.

Jesse Eisenberg who played Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, Kathleen Chalfant a Tony nominated actress, Adam Driver who recently appeared in J. Edgar and the HBO series Girls, and Peter Francis James of the Broadway play The Merchant of Venice will all be at the Perry County Library on Thursday May 3.

These four will be preforming a dramatic reading of Bacchae, an ancient Greek play about the power of intoxication. This performance is being put on by UNITE and Drugfree.org.

The Dionysus Project is a project that pairs the power of art with town hall style discussions on addiction and intoxication. They are focusing on communities that have been dealing with the impact of drug addiction and working towards a more open discussion of the problem and prevention of usage.

The performance is free but seating is limited so they ask that you RSVP for the show contact Koula Oakley to KOakley@centertech.com or call (606)330-1400.
