Bobby Ray Napier, 70, died Saturday, April 21 at his home in Hazard. He worked for Balis Campbell Construction for over 20 years.

He was the son of the late Calaway Napier and the late Hetty Williams Napier, and was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ray Napier, and daughter Cheryl Napier Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Napier; daughter Barbara Combs and husband Samuel; sons Boyd Lee Napier and wife Krista, and Edgar Steven Napier; brothers Boyd Napier and Allan Napier, along with 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25. Services will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, with Kendell Combs and Steve Haddix officiating.
