HAZARD —An allegedly homeless Martin County man, accused earlier this year of robbing the Peoples Bank inside the Hazard Wal-Mart Supercenter, has spoken out during an exclusive jailhouse interview in defense of Corner Haven Homeless Shelter.Last week, the Herald reported on the indictment of 39-year-old Floyd Fletcher; Fletcher was indicted on one count of first-degree robbery last month. Perry County Commonwealth’s Attorney John Hansen spoke to the Herald last week about the indictment, alleging that the homeless shelter is “taking in all these people other communities can’t deal with.”

HAZARD — A Hazard man is facing a sex abuse charge after Hazard police alleged he attempted to touch a juvenile girl inappropriately on several occasions.According to the arrest affidavit, on June 19, Steven M.
