On Friday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers in a big match up. Not only were the Lady Commodores taking on a tough opponent, but Coach Randy Napier was attempting to tie the state record for wins by a girls’ coach.Coach Napier, prior to the game, had 792 wins, one shy of the record. With the 68-64 win over the Lady Jumpers, Coach Napier tied the record held by Coach Howard Beth of Marshall County.The Commodores had a difficult time of things as at no point was the margin more than a few baskets. At the end of the first period, Perry Central was up 17-15, and went into the half leading 31-30.
