On Saturday, the Perry County Central Commodore soccer team hosted the Rowan County Vikings. The Commodores were able to weather a strong storm and Vikings team to come away with a 3-all tie.
Perry Central would score the only goal of the first half. Travis Dunn picked up a pass from John Watts in the box to beat the defense for the 1-0 lead.
Rowan County tied the game in the early minutes of the second half, but saw the tie slip away as Perry Central received a penalty kick. John Watts put the Commodores up 2-1 with the goal.
The Vikings not only tied the game in the next couple of minutes, but pushed ahead 3-2. With time running out, the Commodores tied the game on a corner kick, and goal by Jacob Farris.
Neither team would score down the stretch, and at the horn the score was knotted at three. Since it was not a district game with seeding implications, the game ended in a tie.
