On Thursday, the Hazard Bulldog football team traveled to Phelps to take on the Hornets. The 5-2 Bulldogs were trying to stay undefeated in the district, while keeping the Hornets winless on the season.
The Bulldogs had little trouble disposing of the Hornets, putting enough points on the board to keep the clock running early. Hazard was able to get many of their younger players on the field to get some experience.
With time running out, Phelps was able to get their only score of the game to avoid the shutout. Hazard moved to 6-2 on the season with the 56-8 win. Next up for the Bulldogs will be South Floyd.
