The Hazard Lady Bulldog soccer team is playing well as they enter the district tournament. Although the Lady Bulldogs had but one win in the final week of the regular season, they were on top of their game, and made some gains going into the postseason.

The Lady Bulldogs started the week on the road at Pikeville. The Lady Panthers are playing some of their best soccer of the season, and were able to shutout the Lady Bulldogs 0-5. This was a team Hazard tied 3-all a couple of weeks ago.

Their second game of the week was with the Letcher Central Lady Cougars. The Lady Cougars defeated the Lady Bulldogs 1-5 a month ago.

Hazard was able to keep the game scoreless in the first half, but allowed Letcher Central to garner a trio of goals in the second half for the 0-3 win. The Lady Cougars will be the Lady Bulldogs first opponent in the post season.

The Lady Bulldogs closed out their regular season with the Breathitt County Lady Bobcats. Hazard defeated Breathitt County 4-1 in their last meeting, but would have to battle a much improved foe on this night.

Hazard would come out victorious in the contest 2-1. McCall Davis had a goal in the game, while Amanda Asher chipped in with a goal and an assist.
