The Nationals and the Padres started the final weekend of little league play in the park. The Nationals jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they rolled to the 11-1 victory.
The Nationals nearly went through their batting order in the first inning as they touched the plate five times. The Padres could not get a rally started in the opening frame, giving the Nationals the 5-0 lead at the end of one inning of play.
Things cooled off considerably in the second inning as the Nationals went down in order. Unfortunately for the Padres, they could do no better in their portion of the inning. After two innings of play, the Nationals still clung to the 5-0 lead.
The Nationals were able to get their bats going against in the third inning. This time they notched two runs to their tally. The Padres still could not find the plate, leaving the Nationals with the 7-0 advantage.
Both teams would find a way to score in the fourth inning. The Nationals added four runs to their total, while the Padres had to settle for a single run. The end result would be a ten run advantage for the Nationals, thus ending the game early with the 11-1 count.
Nationals (11) Micah Steele 2 hits and 2 runs, Dawson Browning 2 hits and 2 runs, Jarrett Napier 2 hits and 2 runs, Luke Bellamy 1 hit and 3 runs, Matt Goins 2 hits and 1 run, and Nathaniel Johnson 1 run.
