Lady Bulldogs’ season comes to an end

The Hazard Lady Bulldogs began their quest for the 53rd district title with the Letcher Central Lady Cougars. The Lady Bulldogs lost their two regular season games to the Lady Cougars (1-5 and 0-3), and were looking for some revenge.

The Lady Bulldogs’ defense was strong in the early going, and made it hard for the Lady Cougars to get a good look at the goal. Hazard’s offense also made some headway in the early going, pushing the ball deep into their territory.

In the end, however, it would be the Lady Cougars that would prevail as they outscored the Lady Bulldogs 3-1. Hazard would end their season with a 5-10 record.

Amanda Asher would score the Lady Bulldogs lone goal. Asher finished her career at Hazard as the all-time leading assist leader. Carmen Shepherd did not score in the game, but finished her career as the Lady Bulldogs’ all-time goal scorer.
