On Friday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the North Laurel Jaguars in a district match up. The Commodores entered the game at 2-5 on the season, while the Jaguars were a perfect 8-0.
North Laurel got on the board first, taking a quick 14-0 lead. However, Perry Central was able to respond with a long touchdown drive that ended with a Seth Napier to Tyler Eldridge touchdown pass (14-7).
The Jaguars would effectively move the ball down the field in the second period, and finished the first half with 28 points. The Commodores scored a second touchdown in the second period as Jordan Combs ran the ball in. North Laurel went into the half with the 28-14 lead.
Scoring dropped off considerably in the second half as North Laurel could only muster nine points, while Perry Central failed to score in the half. The game ended with the Jaguars taking the 37-14 win.
