Hazard moves on in region

On Monday, the Hazard Lady Bulldog volleyball team began their quest for the 14th region title. The Lady Bulldogs took on the Owsley County Lady Owls in the opening round.

Game one of the match was a give and take affair with both teams controlling the momentum during several points in the game. Hazard would prevail in the opening game 25-20.

The momentum carried over to game two, and the Lady Bulldogs would blitz the Lady Owls. Hazard went up 2-0 in the match with the impressive 25-9 win.

Owsley County regained their composure in the third game, and kept pace with Hazard. The contest went back and forth throughout, with multiple extra serves needed to settle the issue. The Lady Owls tightened the match 2-1 with the 29-27 win.

Hazard did not take the loss in game three well, and came out in game four ready to make a point. The Lady Bulldogs took the early lead, and never looked back as they took the game, and the match, with a final score of 25-10.
