The Buckhorn Lady Wildcats will start the 2015-2016 season a little bit of an unknown. The Lady Wildcats will start the season with 8 of their 11 roster players being a sophomore or younger.

The only two experienced players listed will be seniors Madison Couch and Natalie Gabbard. Buckhorn went 10-15 last season, falling in the first round of the district tournament.

Over the first six games of the season, the Lady Bulldogs will alternate away and home games. They will play five of the six games against region foes. Only two of the five had a winning record last season, Breathitt County (23-8), Jackson City (17-12), Lee County (11-18), Wolfe County (12-16) and Estill County (13-13).The other team on the list is Oneida Baptist Institute (16-13).

Coach Andrew Blank will be throwing his troops into the fire early as December will see the Lady Wildcats play five games in seven days. The rugged opening schedule should have Buckhorn prepared for the second half of the season.

Nov 30 Breathitt County Away

Dec 4 OBI Home

Dec 5 Jackson City Away

Dec 7 Lee County Home

Dec 8 Wolfe County Away

Dec 10 Estill County Home
