This weekend, the Buckhorn Wildcats traveled to Paris for the Kentucky Bank Classic. The Wildcats took on the Bearcats of Walton-Verona.

Buckhorn came out a little cold and fell behind early 16-9. In the second period, Connor Hoskins hit a bucket that gave him his 1,500th point of his career. However, the Wildcats would drop a few more points, and went into the locker room trailing 28-19.

Buckhorn came out of the locker room ready to play, and quickly had Walton-Verona on the ropes. The Wildcats erased their deficit, and went into the final period leading 37-35.

As time began to slip away, so did the Wildcat advantage. The Bearcats grabbed the momentum in the closing moments of the game, leaving Buckhorn on the short end of the 59-55 final.

Buckhorn (55) Connor Hoskins 26 (6 rebounds and 2 assists), Shannon Blank 7 (5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal), Josh Crank 4 (3 rebounds and 1 steal), Daniel Hurley 7 (10 rebounds and 1 assist), Ryan Boggs 5 (8 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals), Nick Stidham 3 (3 rebounds and 3 assists) and Josh Noble 3 (2 rebounds and 1 steal).
