On Tuesday, the Buckhorn Wildcats began their 2015 basketball season on the road at Owsley County. The Wildcats proved to be too much for the Owls as they nearly doubled their score in every quarter before coming away with the 72-38 win.
Buckhorn came out hot and posted the 18-7 lead at the end of the first period. They continued the barrage in the second period, and went into the locker room sitting on a 36-19 advantage.
As in the past, the third period proved to be Buckhorn’s best as they pushed the lead to 58-29. Everyone got plenty of playing time in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats cruised to the 72-38 win.
Connor Hoskins led the team in scoring with 22 points, while Ryan Boggs topped all Wildcats with 10 rebounds.
