On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodores played their first home game of the season. The Commodores took on the Jackson City Tigers in a game that would see Perry Central roll to the 84-52 win.
Perry Central came out cold and found it difficult to find the rim. The sluggish play allowed Jackson City to keep pace throughout the frame. A couple of big “3”s at the end of the period gave the Tigers the 15-11 lead at the horn.
The deficit did not sit well with the Commodores as they came out strong in the second period. Perry Central went on a run that would net them the 37-20 advantage at the break.
The Commodores would put the game on ice early in the third period as Noah Back went 6 of 6 from behind the arc, setting the clock in motion. Perry Central would go deep into their bench to finish the period, and went into the final quarter with the 66-38 lead.
The Commodores go all the way down their bench for the fourth quarter. The Tigers would hit a couple of big shots before the end of the game, setting the final tally at 84-52.
