Commodores sail past Colonels

Perry Central’s Travis Dunn had 26 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists as the Commodores downed Caverna 73-58, and moved into the finals of the Warren East Holiday Hoops Classic.


In their second game of the Warren East Holiday Hoops Classic, the Perry County Central Commodores took on the Caverna Colonels. The Commodores used a steady offense and a stingy defense to sink the Colonels 73-58.

The Commodores managed to stay one step ahead of the Colonels in the first quarter and finished with the 18-13 lead. The pace slowed a little in the second period, but Perry Central managed a 32-24 advantage at the break.

Caverna came out of the break ready to play, and outscored Perry Central in the frame (47-41). The Commodores pressed the tempo in the fourth quarter, and sailed past the Colonels 73-58.
