The Perry County Central Commodores took on the host Warren East Raiders in the championship game of the Warren East Holiday Hoops Classic. The Commodores fell behind early, but battled back and used a strong fourth quarter to capture the title with a 67-66 win.
Things did not go well for the Commodores in the first period as they trailed 14-18 at the horn. Perry Central continued to fall behind in the second period, and went into the locker room trailing 38-29.
The Commodores defense began to bring them back in the third period, and with eight minutes left to play they needed to make up six points at 50-44. Perry Central pulled out all the stops in the final frame, and with a final rally pulled out the 67-66 win for the tournament title.
