On Tuesday, the Hazard Bulldogs played host to the Breathitt County Bobcats. The Bulldogs took their time getting started, but put together a strong second half to maul the Bobcats 67-49.
Breathitt County kept the game close in the first period by hitting several shots from beyond the arc. Hazard had to make their living from in the paint. However, the Bulldogs were able to shut down the Breathitt County outside game in the second period, and built a small lead at the half.
The third period saw Hazard begin to pull away, and eventually post a double-digit lead. The Bulldogs continued to control the tempo in the final quarter, and quickly squashed any hopes the Bobcats had of a comeback. Hazard went on to win the game by the final county of 67-49.
Three Bulldogs led the way in scoring as Jason Johnson, Austin Spurlock and Blake Nidiffer each had 14 points on the night.
