On Saturday, the Buckhorn Wildcats welcomed in the Jackson City Tigers. The game was close in the early going, but as the second period got started, the Wildcats took control of the game.
Buckhorn found it hard to get their offense started in the first quarter as Jackson City slowed the tempo to a near crawl. After falling behind 6-0, the Wildcats managed to get back in the game. A late steal gave Buckhorn the 13-12 lead at the end of the first period.
It would be all Wildcats in the second period as they tripled the Tigers output in the frame. Buckhorn went into the locker room with the 31-18 advantage.
Buckhorn continued their onslaught in the second half, pushing the lead to 45-24 by the end of the third period. Jackson City finished the game strong, but could not put together a comeback rally. The Wildcats went on to win the game by the final count of 66-43.
