Perry falls to Dunbar in Classic

Over the break, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Lexington to participate in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic. The Commodores’ first opponent would be the Paul Lawrence Dunbar Bulldogs.

Perry Central started quickly, scoring more than half of their total points in the first quarter, and taking the 22-14 lead. Things would slow considerably in the second period as they scored just four points, and went into the break trailing 29-26.

The Commodores picked up the pace in the third quarter, but could not erase their deficit. Perry Central went into the final period trailing 43-38. They would not be able to mount a comeback in the fourth period and eventually fell 53-43.
