The second game of the 6th grade Perry County tournament featured the Chavies Cardinals and the Willard Warhawks. The Cardinals got off to a strong start, and the Warhawks failed to make up the difference down the stretch.

Chavies was on fire in the first period, taking a commanding 22-14 lead. The pace slowed considerably in the second period, with the Warhawks cutting into their deficit (31-26) at the half.

The Cardinals went back on the attack in the third period, finishing the frame with a 46-34 lead. The Warhawks were unable to steal the momentum in the final period, and Chavies came away with the 58-41 win, and a spot in the second round.

Willard (41) Caudill 7, Strollings 5, A. Fields 6, D. Fields 6, Whitaker 15 and Howard 2.
