The Chavies Cardinals and the Robinson Blue Jays hit the floor for the third game of the 8th grade Perry County tournament. The Cardinals had little trouble moving into the next round as they disposed of the Blue Jays 52-22.
Chavies got off to a slow start in the opening frame, but still managed a 10-4 lead at the horn. The Cardinals picked up the defensive pressure, and the pace, in the second period. At the intermission, Chavies held a 30-6 advantage.
Robinson was able to come out of the break and find their range. The Blue Jays kept pace, but could not erase their deficit (43-17). The Cardinals stopped another rally in the fourth period, and went on to win by the final score of 52-22.
