Early last week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Belfry to take on the Pirates. The Commodores jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they sank the Pirates 65-49.
Perry Central opened the game by doubling up on Belfry 20-10. The second period slowed considerably, with the Commodores edging the Pirates to take the 30-17 advantage into the break.
Belfry came out hot in the third period and chipped away at the Perry Central lead, leaving them but a 7 point edge (41-34) with eight minutes left to play. The Commodores were able to sink the Pirates with a strong performance from behind the arc in the fourth quarter (6 threes). Perry Central went on to win the game by the final count of 65-49.
