Late last week, the Hazard Bulldogs traveled to Leslile County to take on the Eagles in a 54th district match up. The Bulldogs were able to shoot down the Eagles behind a strong first quarter performance.
Little could stop the Bulldogs in the opening period as they hit most of their shots. By the end of the frame, Hazard took the 27-14 lead.
Hazard went cold in the second period, allowing Leslie County to shave a few points off the lead. Going into the intermission, the Bulldogs held the 35-28 advantage.
The Bulldogs reestablished themselves in the third period, and put most of the margin back in place (50-38). Hazard held strong in the fourth quarter, squashing any hopes Leslie County had for a comeback. The Bulldogs went on to win the game by the final score of 66-50.
