Lady Dores take down Lady Dawgs in 10

Last week, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores made the trip to Louisa to take on the Lawrence County Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Commodores allowed the Lady Bulldogs to tie the game late, and needed three extra-innings to pull out the victory.

Perry Central would take the 1-0 lead in the second inning, but it would not last long as Lawrence County would tie the game in the bottom of the frame. The Lady Commodores regained the lead with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings (3-1).

Lawrence County erased the margin in the sixth inning, pushing two runs across the plate. Neither team scored in the seventh, forcing extra-innings to settle the matter.

Perry Central eventually picked up a run in the tenth inning, and settled in to set the Lady Bulldogs down in order in the bottom of the inning. The Lady Commodores were able to squeak out the 4-3 win on the road.

Lauren Amburgey to the win, going 10 innings with 7 hits, 3 runs, 4 walks and 11 strikeouts.
