Last week, the Hazard Bulldogs traveled to Irvine to take on the Estill County Engineers. The Bulldogs took the early lead and never looked back as they doubled up on the Engineers 10-5.
Hazard opened the game strong with five first inning runs. However, they allowed Estill County to erase two of the runs in the bottom of the inning (5-2).
The Bulldogs went on to score 3 runs in the second inning, and then added another in the third (9-2). Neither team would put together another scoring inning until the seventh. Hazard crossed the plate once, while Estill County tapped the dish three times to bring the final tally to 10-5.
Devin Morris needed to stay on the mound just two innings to pick up the win (2 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts).
