On Thursday, the Hazard Bulldogs hosted the Buckhorn Wildcats. The game would not go the distance as the Bulldogs put 16 runs on the board in the first three innings.
Hazard posted a staggering eight runs in the opening inning giving them the 8-0 lead. The Bulldogs continued the onslaught with five runs (13-0) in the second inning, and three runs (16) in the third inning.
Buckhorn would pick up their runs in the fourth and fifth innings, scoring a single run in each. The two runs would not be enough to keep the game going as the Bulldogs posted the 16-2 win.
Bailey Blair got the win going 3 innings with 1 hit, 0 walks and 4 strikeouts. Cameron Johnson also took the mound with 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts in two innings.
