On Monday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Jackson City Lady Tigers. The Lady Commodores were able to jump out to the early lead, and hold on for the 8-4 win.
Perry Central put three runs across the plate in the opening frame, to take the early 3-0 lead. The Lady Commodores added single runs in each the second and third innings to set the score at 5-0.
Jackson City made it interesting in the fourth inning as they posted four runs, cutting the Perry Central lead to one (5-4). The Lady Commodores responded with three runs in their next at bat (8-4). Neither team would score down the stretch, giving Perry Central the 8-4 win.
Lauryn Amburgey got the win, going the distance with 6 hits,, 4 runs, 0 walks and 6 strikeouts.
