Last week, Perry Central traveled to Hyden for the second time as they took on the Leslie County Eagles in a district match up. The Commodores got a three-hitter from their staff, and went on to win the game by the final count of 4-0.
Scoring was at a premium in the first half of the game. Perry Central eventually broke the ice with a run in the fourth inning. Evan Hurt started with a single, and made his way home on a sacrifice fly by Ronnie Long (1-0).
The final flurry by the Commodores came in the sixth inning. Perry Central picked up three runs (4-0), highlighted by a home run by Evan Hurt (Ronnie Long had a 2 RBI double in the frame).
Perry Central held the Eagles in check down the stretch, and collected the 4-0 win. Brody Dixon picked up the win on the mound, while Kameron Conley tossed two innings of shutout ball.
