Bulldogs taken out by Blue Tornado

In their second game of the Cal Ripken Experience, the Hazard Bulldogs took on the Blue Tornado from Paducah Tilghman. The Bulldogs would only muster four hits (one less than their opponent) in the game as they were shut out 3-0 by the Blue Tornado.

Things started well for Hazard as the game went into the third inning before anyone would cross the plate. Paducah Tilghman managed a single run in the frame, and added a pair in the fourth inning to grab the 3-0 lead.

Both teams settled down for the final innings of the contest, with the 3-0 tally holding until the end. Devin Morris got the loss on the mound, going five innings with 4 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and 9 strikeouts. Blake Nidiffer tossed an inning, with 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Hazard (0) Bailey Blair 1 hit, Rudy Akemon 1 hit, Devin Morris 1 hit and Ryan Smith 1 hit.
