While at the Cal Ripken Experience, the Hazard Bulldogs hooked up with the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats. The Bulldogs jumped out to the early, only to see the Wildcats close the gap. A late rally by Hazard put the game out of reach.

The Bulldogs opened the game with a run in the first inning, only to see the Wildcats come back to take the lead (1-2) in the fourth innings as they plated a pair of runs. Hazard then took the lead for good with a strong fifth inning that saw them visit the plate four times (5-2).

Franklin-Simpson tapped the dish for the last time in the bottom of the fifth inning, bring the tally to 5-3. Hazard added a trio of insurance runs in the final inning, and then struck out the side in the bottom half to secure the 8-3 win. Griffen Wells picked up the win by going six innings with 6 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks and 11 strikeouts. Chase Ford closed out the event with 1 hit, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.

Hazard (8) Bailey Blair 1 run, Griffen Wells 1 run, 3 hits and 1 RBI, Rudy Akemon 1 run and 1 hit, Cole Ratliff 2 runs, 2 hits and 1 RBI, Devin Morris 2 runs, 2 hits and 2 RBI, Ryan Smith 3 hits and 2 RBI, Andy Baker 1 RBI, Blake Lockhart 1 RBI, and Kyle Johnson 1 run.
