Commodores narrowly escape Patriots

For the second time in a week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Hindman to take on the Knott Central Patriots. The previous game saw the Patriots come from behind for the win. This time, the Commodores were able to cut the comeback short, and claim the 8-7 win.

Perry Central took a big lead in the second inning as they came across the plate six times (6-0). Knott Central came back with a single run in the third inning (6-1)

The Commodores rounded out their scoring in the fourth inning, bringing their tally to six (8-1). In the bottom of the inning, the Patriots duplicated the Commodore six run inning (8-7).

Neither team would score down the stretch, giving Perry Central the 8-7 win.

Perry Central (8) Evan Hurt 1 run, 2 hits and 1 RBI, Dylan Fields 2 runs, 2 hit and 1 RBI, Ronnie Long 1 run, 1 hit and 1 RBI, Braxton Cottongame 1 run, Kameron Conley 1 run, 3 hits and 2 RBI, Colton Walker 1 run, Parker Estep 1 hit and Anthony Hughes 1 run, 1 hit and 2 RBI.
