On Saturday, the Perry County Central Commodores welcomed the Jackson City Tigers to their diamond. The Commodores used a steady offense, and a strong defense to blank the Tigers 10-0.
Perry Central opened the game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Commodores then tacked on another run in the second inning (3-0). After a nonproductive inning, Perry Central would go back to work.
The Commodores would more than double their total in the fourth inning, tapping the dish four times and taking the 7-0 lead. Perry Central would then bring the game to an end in the fifth inning as the rally netted the necessary runs to bring the game to a halt (10-0).
Brody Dixon received the win on the mound, going five innings with 6 hits, 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
