Commodores scuttle Pirates

Last Saturday, the Perry County Central Commodores played a double-header at their new baseball field. The Commodores took on the Powell County Pirates in the second game of the day.

Perry Central opened the game with a single run in the first inning, but their bats went silent after that. The Commodores, however, were on top of their game defensively, and kept a shutout going against Powell County throughout seven innings.

The Commodores picked up an insurance run in the fifth inning, bringing the tally to 2-0. The two runs would be plenty as Perry Central scuttled the Pirates 2-0. Kameron Conley got the win for Perry Central.

Perry Central (2) Evan Hurt 1 hit and 1 RBI, Dylan Fields 1 run and 2 hits, Brody Dixon 1 hit, Ronnie Long 1 hit and 1 RBI, Braxton Cottongame 1 hit, and Seth Napier 1 run and 1 hit.
