On April 23rd, the Studios Unlimited team of 40 athletes competed at Morehead State University trying to capture a 3-peat STATE TITLE! With 19 teams in attendance and the theme of the state meet being “A Circus in Town”, the STU team walked in faith for a successful day.

After long hours of practice, clinics and team trials back in February, I felt the athletes were ready for a great State meet. The team glistened with trophies as the day progressed. With 33 STATE CHAMPIONS, 19 STATE RUNNER-UPS, 13 – 3rd places and 14 HIGH POINT division awards, the STU athletes were dominant in their performances!

The STU team was crowned STATE CHAMPIONS in TUMBLING and STATE CHAMPIONS in TRAMPOLINE. They were named STATE RUNNER-UP in DOUBLE-MINI and for the first time in years, they won STATE RUNNER-UP in ADVANCED OVERALL with their 4 advanced athletes! What an honor!

During the Parade of Champions, the advanced athletes were awarded with their advanced patches and performed during this time. Also, during the Parade of Champions, the Kentucky All-Star performed. Studios Unlimited had 16 athletes to make the All-Star team. How excited we were that we were able to take 16 spots on this team. This means that we had 16 of the highest scores throughout our competition season. This is not an easy task and we are so proud of our athletes!!!
