The Perry County Central Lady Commodores concluded their Tim Short Classic softball tournament with the Clay County Lady Tigers. The Lady Tigers have best record in the mountains, having only lost two games all season.
The contest was scoreless through two innings. In the third inning, Perry Central picked up a run, but gave Clay County three (1-3). The only other run in the game belonged to the Lady Tigers as they scored in the sixth inning.
Clay County went on to win the game by the final count of 4-1. Lauryn Amburgey got the loss on the mound, but pitched well, going 6 innings with 7 hits, 4 runs, 0 walks and 3 strikeouts.
