Hazard sophomore Hope Clark is one of the top players in the 14th region, and will be counted heavily upon as the Lady Bulldogs try to make it back to the state tournament.

Over the past several years, the Hazard Lady Bulldog volleyball team has been the standard for 54th district play, and among the top finishes in the region. The Lady Bulldogs have won 78 games over the past three seasons, and went to the state tournament in 2013.

Hazard will be short two players from last season as Kaiken Kilburn and Morgan Robinson have graduated. The Lady Bulldogs will be in good shape next season as they have the region’s top player, Hope Clark, returning along with several players that saw major time on the floor (Madison Gadbury, Marryn Mobelini and Destiny Walker).

The Lady Bulldogs will have to battle the Lady Eagles of Leslie County for the district title next season. The Lady Eagles lost but two players off their region runners up team. Hazard’s first game is listed as August 25 at Perry Central.
