The Bulldogs will once again have one of the area’s best kickers as Tyler Collins will return to the field for Hazard.

The Hazard Bulldog football team finished last season with a 10-3 record, bowing out in the third round of the state playoffs. Anything less than a state finals appearance is disappointing for the highly successful Class A Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs lost eight seniors off last year’s team, including quarterback Cole Ratliff (Cade Fletcher, Jacob Blanton, KP Hastings, Joe Hurt, Dalton May, Cole Ratliff, Dan Turner and Austin Vergne). The numbers are really quite small for a football team that has garnered so much success.

Hazard will be in good shape next season as they have a wealth of talent returning. The Bulldogs will return 15 juniors, 11 sophomores and 14 freshmen, most of which have seen quality time on the field.

A complete Bulldog schedule for 2016 has yet to be post to the KHSAA website.
