Lady Dawgs win hard fought battle with Lady Wolves

On Tuesday, the Hazard Lady Bulldog volleyball team traveled to Wolfe County to take on the Lady Wolves. The Lady Bulldogs found themselves in quite a battle as they had to go to the tie-breaker before pulling out the 3-2 win.

The Lady Bulldogs outpaced the Lady Wolves in the first game, coming away with the narrow 25-21 win. However, in the second game, momentum was on Hazard’s side as they went up 2-0 with the 25-17 win.

The third game would see a momentum change as the Lady Wolves went on the attack, winning by a final score of 14-25 (2-1). The Lady Bulldogs picked up the pace in the fourth game, but came up short 25-27 (2-2), creating a need for a tie-breaker.

The Lady Bulldogs got off to a quick start in the fifth game, and eventually raced out to a sizeable lead. Hazard held off a late charge to take the game by the final count of 15-10, giving them the match (3-2).
