On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodore soccer team boarded a bus and headed to Knox Central to take on the Panthers. The Commodores got off to a slow start, but picked up the pace and came away with the impressive 8-1 win.
The Commodores’ explosive offense was slowed considerably on this night as they were not use to playing on grass, and had to contend with the narrower football field dimensions. However, once they found their groove, Perry Central began to roll up the goals.
Perry Central got their first goal at the ten minute mark, and within 15 minutes had scored 3 more. By the time the game reached the half, the Commodores were up 5-0.
The Commodores went to their bench in the second half, but showed little signs of letting up. Perry Central took the second half 3-1, and came away with the 8-1 win.
