On Thursday, the Hazard Bulldog soccer team played their lone game of the week. The Bulldogs hosted the Letcher Central Cougars in a game that went to a PK shootout to determine the outcome.
Within the first six minutes of the game, the Bulldogs found themselves on the short end of a 2-0 score. However, Hazard would find a way to rebound.
At the eight minute mark, Hazard cut the margin to 2-1, and with a handful of minutes on the clock before the half, the Bulldogs were able to tie the game at two.
The game went back and forth in the second half, with regulation ending with a 4-all tie. The extra-periods could not settle the matter, so the game went to a penalty kick shootout. Letcher Central got the better of the shootout, giving them the 5-4 win.
