On Saturday, the Perry Central Commodore soccer team hosted the George Roger Clark Cardinals. The Commodores stood strong on defense, but failed to get their offense started.

Neither team had much offense to offer in the first half, and the game went into the break tied at zero.

The second half played out much like the first, except for one lapse in defense by the Commodores.

The Cardinals were able to take advantage of a mental error by Perry Central late in the second half to put the first goal on the board. The Commodores got a couple of shots down the stretch, but could not finish. The game ended with George Roger Clark taking the 1-0 win.

The loss dropped Perry Central’s record to 7-2 on the season.
